ServiceNow Developer – Virtual Agent & Now Assist

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with hands-on experience in Virtual Agent and Now Assist to help organisations unlock the full potential of AI across the ServiceNow platform.

This role will focus on delivering intelligent automation and conversational AI solutions using ServiceNow’s proprietary Generative AI suite, Now Assist.

You will help design and implement solutions that improve employee and customer experiences, automate repetitive tasks, generate intelligent responses, and increase productivity across IT and business functions.

Working closely with architects, consultants, developers and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in driving AI adoption and innovation across the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and configure ServiceNow Virtual Agent solutions.
  • Implement and optimise Now Assist capabilities across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop conversational AI experiences that improve self-service and user engagement.
  • Configure AI-powered workflows to automate manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can improve productivity and user experience.
  • Integrate Virtual Agent and Now Assist with ITSM, HRSD, CSM and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Develop and maintain custom ServiceNow applications, workflows and integrations.
  • Support AI governance, testing, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow AI capabilities and platform enhancements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on ServiceNow Development experience.
  • Experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow Virtual Agent.
  • Proven experience working with ServiceNow Now Assist.
  • Understanding of Generative AI concepts and their application within ServiceNow.
  • Experience developing automated workflows using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
  • Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting experience.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Experience with ITSM, HRSD, CSM or Employee Centre.
  • Experience with AI Search, Knowledge Management and self-service solutions.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale automation and AI solutions.
  • Previous experience working within a ServiceNow Partner, Consultancy or Centre of Excellence.
